10 Generations of Sylvain Perthuis

These are the generations of Sylvain Perthuis down to my grandmother Lenore Evelyn Barron.

Generation 1
Sylvain Perthuis was born circa 1615 in St-Denis d'Amboise, Tours, Tourraine, France.  He married Mathurine Racicot in Amboise, Tours, Indre et Loire, France. Mathurine Racicot was born circa 1615 in St. Denis, France.
 They had:
Pierre Perthuis dit Lalime (February 18, 1644)

Generation 2
Pierre Perthuis dit Lalime was born February 18, 1644 in St-Denis, Tours, Touraine, France. He married Marie-Claude Damise December 10, 1668 in Montréal, Québec. Marie-Claude Damise was born October 6, 1650 in St-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet, Paris, Ile-de-France, France and died October 6, 1705 in Montréal, Québec. Pierre Perthuis dit Lalime died April 16, 1708 in Montréal, Québec.

Marie-Louise Perthuis (September 8, 1678)

Generation 3
Marie-Louise Perthuis was born September 8, 1678 in Pointe Aux Trembles, Montréal, Québec.  She married Vitale Caron January 24, 1697 in Lachine, Ile de Montréal, Québec.  Vitale Caron was born August 11, 1673 in Laprairie, Québec and died April 20, 1745 in Montréal, Île-de-Montréal, Québec.  Marie-Louise Perthuis died August 14, 1717 in  Châteauguay, Châteauguay, Québec.

Marie-Jeanne Caron dite Marchand (November 28, 1709)

Generation 4
Marie-Jeanne Caron dite Marchand was born November 28, 1709 in Lachine, Québec.  She married Pierre Méloche August 16, 1729 in Montréal, Bourgeois, Québec.  Pierre Méloche was born August 31, 1701 in Montréal, Québec and died August 21, 1760 in Détroit, Michigan.  Marie-Jeanne Caron dite Marchand died August 13, 1757 in Détroit, Michigan.
They had:
Marie-Thérèse Méloche (February 25, 1732)

Generation 5
Marie-Thérèse Méloche was born February 25, 1732 in Détroit, Michigan.  She married Nicolas-François Janis August 23, 1745 in Détroit, Michigan. Nicolas-François Janis was born January 6, 1720 in Québec and died December 15, 1771 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario.  Marie-Thérèse Méloche died July 2, 1805 in Assumption, Sandwich Essex, Ontario.

Geneviève Janisse (February 9, 1750)

Generation 6
Geneviève Janisse was born February 9, 1750 in  Détroit, Michigan.  She married Claude-Thomas Réaume January 7, 1766 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario. Claude-Thomas Réaume was born August 7, 1743 in Détroit, Michigan and died June 6, 1827 in Amherstburg, Ontario.  Geneviève Janisse died October 19, 1790.

Véronique Réaume was born July 16, 1788 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario.  She married Jean-Baptiste Ouellette February 13, 1809 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario.  Jean-Baptiste Ouellette was born January 9, 1788 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario and died April 7, 1873 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario.
They had:
Norbert Ouellette (May 30, 1819)

Generation 8
Norbert Ouellette was born May 30, 1819 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario.  He married Salomée Paquette January 27, 1843 in St. John Baptiste Church, Amherstburg, Ontario.  Salomée Paquette was born circa 1823 in Amherstburg, Ontario and died January 14, 1860 in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada.  Norbert Ouellette died December 30, 1898 in Assumption, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada.

Suzanne Ouellette was born January 1848 Sandwich, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  She married Joseph Barron August 31, 1869 in Assumption, Sandwich, Ontario, Canada. Joseph Barron was born circa 1844 Assumption, Sandwich, Ontario, Canada. Suzanne Ouellette died circa 1942 in Essex, Ontario, Canada.

Harvey Joseph Barron (July 17, 1887)

Harvey Joseph Barron was born July 17, 1887 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  He married Susan Laurain.  Susan Laurain was born January 25, 1885 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, United States and died January 27, 1967 in Estral Beach, Monroe County, Michigan, United States.

  1. Sylvain Perthuis was my 10th great-grandfather. Genevieve was the sister of Mary Magadalene Janis who married Laurent Parent.

  2. Wonderful running into distant cousins. Marie-Madeleine Janis (or sometimes seen as Janisse) was her name.

  3. Hello. My name is Andre'a Pertuit. Somewhere in the late 1600's early 1700's, one of 2 brothers in south Louisiana changed the spelling of the last name from Perthuis to Pertuit. My great-grand dad was Sylvain Pertuit. I have come across the Il dit La Lime doing research on my surname. I have no clue if we are of the same family tree but thought the commonality in the names was coincidence at the very least.I have not done research for quite sometime, but COVID 19 has forced me back to it.Hope you are safe and well. Your possible very, very distant cousin.
